Ao Nang
Geographical terminology is a little confusing around Krabi. Ao Nang, 17 km
northwest of Krabi, a disappointing stretch of sand that caters mainly to

cafes. Just beyond is a large estuary that can be waded across, except for
and immediately after the monsoon season. The sand is fine and well known for

Princess Cave: A large cave at the southern end of Playa Pranang derives its name

swim back to Pranang.
